Game is not only the healthiest meat you can buy it’s also some of the most delicious and easiest to prepare. The Romney Marsh is a fantastic habitat for a wide variety of game. The day includes a trip to meet one of our farmers or game dealers.
The day involves some practical, hands on work with one or more types of game, possibly something feathered like a partridge, pheasant or duck. There will also be an interactive Masterclass run by our Head Chef showing you some more detailed cooking techniques and recipes.
Please come hungry as the day involves lots of eating and tasting of food throughout, starting with a light breakfast on arrival and ending with a delicious game feast with a glass of wine, all in the wonderful surroundings of our beach house hotel.
A Typical Day
Welcome:
Meet at the Bistro for a welcome tea or coffee and a light Gallivant breakfast where you can meet your hosts and other guests.
Meet the supplier:
Jump aboard our coach and come with us to meet one of our farmers or game dealers. A chance to ask questions and get to know more about the game that live around us. Pick something out of the larder to take back to the Bistro to cook.
Tea/coffee break:
Return to the Beach Bistro for a coffee or tea with a tasty Gallivant treat.
Master class demonstration:
Watch how our Head Chef turns some of the game sourced earlier in the day into delicious dishes that can be cooked at home with ease. From simple preparation to more elaborate cooking techniques. Be prepared to get involved and work with some of the game yourself. Taste the dishes as they come to life. Complete recipe sheets will be supplied.
Break:
Stretch your legs on the beach for 20 minutes while our chefs put the finishing touches to your seasonal lunch feast.
Seasonal lunch feast – 3.00pm:
Enjoy a sit down feast of game and a glass of wine with dishes prepared from the Masterclass earlier.

Spaces are strictly limited to ensure everyone feels fully involved in the day and shares the experience of spending a day alongside one of the most talented chefs in the country.
Full day costs £95/guest
This includes all food, tea and coffee and a glass of wine with the feast.
